Your First Aid Certificate
Every student enrolled at the National School of Aesthetics needs to have a valid workplace first aid certificate
You are required to have your workplace first aid certificate in to us by the first day of your course. If you do not have a current workplace first aid certificate, you will be considered to be failing the course.
Why You Need a Workplace First Aid Certificate
The school, NZQA, the Beauty Therapy Association of New Zealand and international governing bodies require you hold a current workplace first aid certificate in order to qualify.
Your workplace first aid certificate must be "current", i.e. valid, until the last day of your course with us or beyond. We advise keeping this certificate up-to-date and current at all times.
Which First Aid Certificates Are Acceptable
You need to gain an acceptable first aid certificate. This must be a workplace first aid certificate or equivalent.
The workplace first aid certificates we have approved for our students are listed in the table below.
Providing Evidence You Have a Workplace First Aid Certificate
To prove you have a current workplace first aid certificate, you will need to either:
- Show Jacqui or Scott the original of your workplace first aid certificate and ensure a photocopy is taken for school records; or
- Show Jacqui or Scott the original of your wallet-sized workplace first aid certificate (card-sized) and ensure a photocopy is taken for school records; or
- Bring Jacqui or Scott a suitable photocopy of your workplace first aid certificate for school records.
